On Sunday, 28 February 2021, in the evening at 18:44, in Panevėžio district municipality, Pagiegalos village, on Upelio street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Opel, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
