On Monday, 8 March 2021, at night at 3:30, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, Pajevonio village, on Vytauto Didžiojo street near No. 5, a Renault Megane ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Renault, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
