On Monday, 15 March 2021, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kaunas, on Žemaičių pl. near No. 37, at the junction with 9-ojo Forto street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Citroen C4 Picasso and a KIA Motors Soul. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 75-year-old driver of the Citroen (24 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
