On Saturday, 8 May 2021, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Plungės district municipality, on Birutės street near No. 10, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW, a Dodge, a Volkswagen Passat, a Volkswagen Passat and a Ford Mondeo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the BMW (19 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.25‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
