On Saturday, 15 May 2021, in the evening at 22:05, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Seirijai–Simnas–Igliauka national road (kilometre 25.60), a Suzuki GSX-R 750 ran off the road. Two people were injured — the 29-year-old driver of the Suzuki (treated as an outpatient) and a 23-year-old passenger of the Suzuki (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Suzuki (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
