On Thursday, 20 May 2021, in the evening at 18:42, in Klaipėda, on Smiltelės street near No. 21, a Nissan Qashqai ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Nissan (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.32‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene.
