On Friday, 21 May 2021, in the morning at 10:36, in Druskininkų municipality, on M. K. Čiurlionio street near No. 107, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a Renault Twingo hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 82-year-old driver of the Renault (54 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
