On Saturday, 5 June 2021, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Marijampolės pl., at the junction with S. Fanstilio street, a Citroen Xsara rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Citroen (24 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
