On Friday, 11 June 2021, in the afternoon at 14:34, in Kretingos district municipality, Pecelių village, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 114), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT XF105, a Knapen K100 and a Volvo FL6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the DAF (43 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
