On Monday, 14 June 2021, in the evening at 18:31, in Vilnius, on Arimų Sodų 7-oji street near No. 18, a Volkswagen Golf hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet.
