On Monday, 14 June 2021, in the evening at around 22:00, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Tirkšliai–Žemalė–Račiai regional road (kilometre 7.60), a Nissan Almera rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Nissan (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.20‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
