On Tuesday, 29 June 2021, at night at 23:35, in Ignalinos district municipality, Grikiapelės village, on Vilties street, a Mazda Premacy hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (1.43‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. A 36-year-old passenger of the Mazda was drunk (2.16‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
