On Wednesday, 4 August 2021, in the evening at 19:41, in Vilnius, on Saulėtekio al. near No. 7A, a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Toyota. Three people were injured — the 44-year-old driver of the BMW (treated as an outpatient), the 50-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and a 33-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the BMW, who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
