On Monday, 16 August 2021, in the evening at 19:05, in Tauragės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 207.40), a BMW X6 Xdrive 30D ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the BMW (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
