On Friday, 10 September 2021, in the evening at 18:27, in Marijampolės municipality, Pietarių village, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 57.70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT XF105.460 and a car. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the DAF (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
