On Thursday, 16 September 2021, in the evening at 18:32, in Tauragės district municipality, Balskų village, on Plynosios street, a Renault Clio rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Renault (30 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.77‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
