On Sunday, 19 September 2021, in the afternoon at 11:49, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 33.40), a Mini ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Mini (32 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
