On Friday, 24 September 2021, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 87), a Volvo FH 42T ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Volvo (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
