On Friday, 24 September 2021, in the afternoon at 13:40, in Kalvarijos municipality, on the Salaperaugis–Liubavas–Aleksandravas regional road (kilometre 10), a Volvo XC90 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Volvo (35 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.21‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was overcast, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
