On Tuesday, 5 October 2021, in the evening at 17:40, in Kaunas, on Islandijos pl. near No. 32, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF registered in Poland, a Honda Civic 5DR and a Schmitz Cargobull registered in Poland. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 71-year-old driver of the DAF (33 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
