On Sunday, 17 October 2021, in the evening at 17:30, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 24.80), a Ford Focus ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Ford (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
