On Tuesday, 26 October 2021, in the afternoon at 16:21, in Šilalės district municipality, Prapymo village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 234.80), a Scania R440LB6X2MLB registered in Estonia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Scania (30 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
