On Tuesday, 11 January 2022, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Širvintų district municipality, Meiliūnų village, on Kernavės street near No. 25, a vehicle ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
