On Saturday, 5 February 2022, in the afternoon at 15:30, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 168.55), a Saab 9-5 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Saab (31 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.77‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
