On Wednesday, 23 February 2022, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Elektrėnų municipality, on Mokyklos street near No. 15, a Peugeot hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 78-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
