On Friday, 25 February 2022, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 116), a Honda Accord Tourer hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Honda (23 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
