On Sunday, 27 February 2022, in the evening at 17:01, in Šilalės district municipality, Šėrikų village, on Svirno street near No. 3A, a Lipecko TG (LTZ) T-40 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Lipecko TG (LTZ), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.26‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. A 35-year-old passenger of the Lipecko TG (LTZ) was drunk (2.66‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
