On Friday, 8 April 2022, at night at 23:36, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 186.03), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 Avant registered in Norway and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (3.50‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
