On Saturday, 9 April 2022, in the evening at 21:40, in Kaunas, on Bituko street near No. 3, a collision occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane and an Audi 80. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Renault (4 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.52‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
