On Tuesday, 12 April 2022, in the afternoon at 13:53, in Šilalės district municipality, Cipkiškių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 211.60), an Audi A6 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
