On Saturday, 16 April 2022, in the morning at around 7:00, in Kretingos district municipality, Kartenos town, on Naujųjų Gintarų street near No. 7, a Volkswagen Passat rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.26‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
