On Monday, 18 April 2022, in the afternoon at 14:42, in Ukmergės district municipality, Siesikų town, on Laisvės street near No. 73, a Honda hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 80-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Honda, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (1.58‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
