On Tuesday, 3 May 2022, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kauno city municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 5), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 67-year-old driver of the Audi (47 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
