On Wednesday, 4 May 2022, in the evening at 21:09, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 68.80), a Ford Galaxy hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.57‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
