On Friday, 6 May 2022, in the evening at 17:44, in Jonavos district municipality, on J. Ralio street, a Fiat Stilo hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Fiat (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
