On Sunday, 8 May 2022, in the evening at 19:30, in Kauno district municipality, Arlaviškių village, on Kubuldyno street, a collision with a moped occurred. The collision involved a Ford Mondeo and a Peugeot. One person was injured — the 15-year-old driver of the Peugeot (treated as an outpatient, had no driving licence). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Ford (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
