On Sunday, 5 June 2022, in the evening at around 20:00, in Raseinių district municipality, Paupio village, in a yard, a Ford Maverick ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.38‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
