On Tuesday, 7 June 2022, at night at around 3:00, in Anykščių district municipality, Surdegio town, on Pušų street near No. 16, an Opel Vectra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.34‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
