On Saturday, 18 June 2022, in the afternoon at 12:05, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 30), a Citroen C3 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Citroen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
