On Thursday, 23 June 2022, in the evening at 21:17, in Kauno district municipality, on Kęstučio street near No. 21, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Qingqi registered in Germany and an Opel. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Qingqi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.12‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
