On Sunday, 17 July 2022, in the evening at 21:50, in Panevėžio district municipality, Barklainių I village, on Malūno street, at the junction with Eglių street, a MAN TGX hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the MAN (22 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.78‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
