On Tuesday, 26 July 2022, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on Kretingos Plento street, at the junction with Vilniaus pl., an Audi A6 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the Audi (44 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. The 39-year-old driver of a BMW 3ER Reihe was drunk (1.01‰). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
