On Friday, 29 July 2022, at night at around 3:00, in Utenos district municipality, Pliupų village, on the Rukliai–Radeikiai–Juknėnai regional road (kilometre 9), an Audi A4 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
