On Friday, 29 July 2022, in the evening at 21:30, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Kavaliauskų village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 289.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Opel (3 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
