On Friday, 5 August 2022, in the evening at 18:03, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 139.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Nissan Qashqai. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the BMW (30 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
