On Tuesday, 16 August 2022, in the evening at 22:05, in Prienų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 97.60), a Mercedes-Benz GL 320 registered in Germany hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene.
