On Thursday, 25 August 2022, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kaunas, on V. Krėvės pr. near No. 52, at the junction with V. Krėvės pr., a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW 318TI, a BMW, a Skoda Fabia and a Volkswagen Passat. One person was injured — a 21-year-old passenger of the Skoda (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW 318TI (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
