On Wednesday, 7 September 2022, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kauno district municipality, Domeikavos village, on Saulėtekio street, at the junction with Pavasario street, a collision with a moped occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot and an Opel Vivaro. One person was injured — a 11-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a helmet). The accident was caused by the 15-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
