On Sunday, 11 September 2022, in the evening at 19:10, in Prienų district municipality, Balbieriškio town, on Klevų street, at the junction with Gėlių street, an Opel Astra-G-CC rolled over. Three people were injured — the 18-year-old driver of the Opel (hospitalized), a 13-year-old passenger of the Opel (hospitalized) and a 16-year-old passenger of the Opel (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
