On Thursday, 15 September 2022, at night at around 3:00, in Šiauliai, on Šeduvos street, at the junction with Salduvės street, a Toyota Yaris registered in France ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Toyota, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
